Having recently celebrated 50 years of Dharma in the West, DRBA will reflect on the work of translation as a significant step in bringing the Buddha’s words to life in the modern world. Reverend Heng Sure will lead this presentation which consists of an afternoon and evening program.

The afternoon program will be an overview of ongoing projects and publications with a focus on children’s books and new English Buddhist liturgy. We will also discuss new projects such as training translators and publishing books to make them available to the general public.

In the evening, Reverend Heng Sure and other early disciples of Master Hsuan Hua will share their reflections on their work with Buddhist Text Translation Society (BTTS) in the early days.
