Ancient Chinese Poem:

For hundreds of thousands of years,
    The stew in the pot
Has brewed hatred and resentment
    That is difficult to stop.

If you wish to know why there are disasters
    Of armies and weapons in the world,
Listen to the piteous cries
    From the slaughterhouse at midnight.

Elder Master Hui Seng:

  Global strife and world war never cease because humans
infringe on the right of other beings to live by eating their meat.

There can be no hope for world peace if
the killing continues in the slaughterhouses…
